I bought this jewelry box for my wife. It was the one she'd chosen, and we waited a long time to purchase it, since it was on back-order from the manufacturer for months. When the box arrived it was very nice. The fit was very good and other than a slight smudge on the top, the finish was good as well. It also had all the storage space my wife needed. The main problem was the smell. The box had such a strong varnish smell that we had to keep it in the garage for about 3-weeks before she could bring it in to use.

this is an attractive, nicely finished jewelry box. the only thing I do not like about it is the bottom drawer: it is difficult to open since the handle on it sits right on the bottom.

This was a gift for my sister who till recently had a boxed lump of jewelry. Her birthday came around and because she is a straight forward kind of lady - she told me exactly what she wanted from me. The search was long and extensive. She is extremely pleased with her "treasure chest"
This is a very well made and very pretty. The finish and details are elegant. She uses every little space and LOVES the hanging necklace area in the back of the main compartment. Not a ring wearer, she uses the center section for stud earrings.
It is not a slim piece, so take note of the measurements. It is tall and deep. If it works in your space, it is a great piece.

Recently got engaged with my fiancé. So I bought her this jewelry box to start putting Her fine And costume jewelry in it. She was so impressed with the jewelry boxes as was i when We got it.

Merely unpacking revealed several areas where the thin superficial polish rubbed off to reveal particle board very thinly painted to look like wood.
Besides sears had it for sale at half the price which is still too much for this junk.
You would never buy this thing in a store at any price.
The fact that the seller can put glossy pictures online is the reason this item still sells, I am sure.
This is very very poor business and manufacturing practice.
