Good puzzle, but you don't need four of them Nov 09, 2007
By archaeoamy My 2/3 year old likes this puzzle like other good puzzles. But I can't imagine have 4 of them around. It's better to have diversity when it comes to puzzles. Have different themes, different brands, different sizes, or they get too bored too quickly.

Great fun, but not too durable Nov 20, 2006
By yours truly I got 3 of these puzzles for my 18mo old boy, he mastered them in a day. It seems, the age rating is a bit too conservative. Still, he had lots of fun intentionally mismatching the pieces. One problem, the top paper layer immediately comes off if a piece gets wet.

disappointing Oct 21, 2010
By Anna Giebel Didn't realize til we got it home that only the hindquarters of the animals are removable. I realize that it to make all the pieces interchangeable, but it would be nice if the entire shape of the animal also removed, in a separate chunk. To make the puzzle more complex and interesting.

Toddler Loves It! Jul 19, 2009

"Reading is powerful"
My grandson loves this puzzle. As a puzzle it is not too difficult for him to put together. The pieces are large and sturdy. He really enjoys the textures on each animal. The puzzle provides the right level of challenge for a 2 year old. A plus has been that because of size and durability of the pieces he is able to use them seperately to play pretend. For him it is like 2 toys in one!

beautiful puzzles Sep 12, 2008
By Amy The Melissa & Doug Mix-n-Match puzzles are beautiful and cute! I didn't realize only a small section of each animal (only one leg) would be the piece (I thought it was going to be the whole body of each animal), but this is still a great puzzle and my 1-year-old daughter likes to play with it. Eventually she'll learn to match the animals up with the pieces/colors. I really enjoy the artwork of this series of puzzles.
