My six year old granddaughter asked for a jewelry box for Christmas that had a ballerina, played music, had a mirror, had drawers, and had a carousal for necklaces. We spent one afternoon looking at various ones on line. I ordered this one and it is perfect. She was so pleased and proclaimed that this was exactly what she wanted! Of course it is already filled!! A g reat buy and a great gift for little girls.

I have to admit I made a mistake in buying this jewelry box because I did not realize it was plastic. I thought it was wood like a similar jewelry box I bought from the same company. I figured it would be okay though because it is for a 6 year old girl but while the box is very cute and girly, it is just not well made. The main issue for me is the that the lid does not shut tight which causes the music to start playing when you so much as bump the table the jewelry box is sitting on. There is a nice magnetic closure on the door that opens for the necklace compartment and they easily could have put something similar on the lid but it just shuts lightly with the hinge and does not latch so the music constantly comes on when you don't want it to. I also don't like that you can see the screws on the drawers and that the top drawer is a false drawer. You can store things in the compartment when you open the lid but they didn't make it a functioning drawer which just seems like a simple addition they could have made. Overall its a very pretty design but there are some small things that would have made a big difference that they just didn't pay attention to, and compared to the wooden version, this just does not measure up.

My first review I'm actually doing, and, of course it's negative!! This product is poorly made, consists of cheap looking plastic and definately NOT WORTH THE PRICE! Consider not wasting your time in ordering this product simply to return it.

I purchased this item for my Goddaughters birthday. It is plastic, which in a way is a good thing because it will be durable. One thing I did not like the front of the handles; the screws are not covered, kind of tacky. Other than that great for the price.
